I Tried To Rebel, My Family Crushed Me

About this drama

At twenty-seven, Andres quit his job, bleached his hair blond, and headed back to his hometown, determined to resist his family's marriage pressure and make a statement as an unapologetically chaotic rebel. Yet the moment he arrived, his plans were derailed by his uncle's bizarre romance. What followed was an unending series of family crises: his cousin Cory chased a shady get-rich-quick scam abroad in northern Myanmar, while his younger sister became entangled in a chaotic mess after meeting her online boyfriend in real life. To make matters worse, Andres was shocked to uncover that his uncle had hired actors to swindle money from the family just to pay off a staggering eight-hundred-thousand-yuan gambling debt. Plagued by ruthless debt collectors, forced to sell their house to settle the loans, and devastated when their grandfather fell gravely ill, the family was pushed to the brink. Yet through these trials, everyone finally woke up to reality and matured. Uniting through hardship, they weathered every storm together, ultimately finding their own happiness and earning a heartwarming, happy ending.
