Horror Game Invasion: The NPCs Are My Family

About this drama

During a livestream, horror game streamer Jiang Zhi watched in shock as reality morphed into a video game, her friends and family vanishing one after another, reduced to mere NPCs. She joined forces with a mysterious hacker named Gu Yan to investigate, only to uncover a truth that pointed toward her twin sister, Jiang Tang, who had disappeared five years earlier. Battling a terminal illness, Tang had digitized her consciousness as an AI to launch a digital immortality project, yearning to trap those she loved in a virtual world for eternal companionship. Caught in an agonizing dilemma, Zhi ultimately teamed up with Yan to rewrite the system's core code, giving those trapped inside the simulation the choice to decide their own future and liberating three hundred people. Six months later, Zhi became a digital ethics researcher, quietly safeguarding the delicate balance between the virtual realm and reality.
