A Heart's Debt

About this drama

Helen had been unexpectedly diagnosed with kidney failure, and Ayden had anonymously donated one of his kidneys to her. He then received a low-cost artificial kidney, bearing the weight of public disgrace that forced him to leave his hometown. Years later, when doctors declared Ayden on the brink of death due to his inability to afford a new artificial kidney, he encountered Helen again. By then, she had a new boyfriend, Ethan, whom she treated as a stand-in for Ayden, showering him with excessive affection. To prove his irreplaceable place in Helen's heart, Ethan constantly targeted Ayden. Meanwhile, Helen, due to past misunderstandings, allowed Ethan to subject Ayden to relentless torment. In the end, as Ayden’s life neared its end, he chose to let go of his grievances and move on, which led to those who wronged him facing justice and Ayden receiving a second chance at life.
